The Role

We currently have an opening for a Maintenance Tech III at our Charlestown, IN location.

The Maintenance Tech is responsible to perform machinery repair and troubleshoot problems as well as train Level I and Level II Techs.

The successful candidate must be dedicated and able to work in an organized and efficient manner, and must be willing to work overtime when necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The Maintenance Tech will be required to perform extensive and in-depth preventive maintenance checks and service as scheduled. Installation, repair, and removal of electrical circuits, air compressors, water pumps and motors by using meters and other testing equipment.
  • Providing support for new projects and develops PM plan to maintain new equipment according to manufacture recommendations.
  • Help maintain inventory of all needed maintenance supplies and keep track of spare stock of maintenance items.
  • Provide guidance, training, and leadership to Skill Level I and II Maintenance Techs in the areas of maintenance safety procedures, preventive maintenance, machine and equipment troubleshooting, and provide specific instruction and leadership in task completion.
  • Independently troubleshoot, solve and repair machine and equipment problems.
  • Proficient in maintaining, troubleshooting and making changes needed on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Install main electrical service and auxiliary circuits for new and existing equipment ranging from 12 volts to 480 volts.
  • Complete major machine repairs, provide detailed root cause analysis and develop preventive measure to reduce or eliminate reoccurrence.
  • Periodically measure and record wear to equipment using precision measuring tools and oversee the ordering and replacement of the worn components.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating units, chillers, cooling towers, paint ovens, and burners.
  • Record in detail major repairs, program changes, warranty repairs, equipment recalls or corrective actions in maintenance files. Perform these tasks in addition to Levels I and II.

The Role

We currently have an opening for a Set-Up Technician, reporting to the Shift Supervisor. The successful candidate will build upon their present knowledge/experience in injection moulding and will be required to perform duties including, but not limited to:

  • Set-up and start-up of molding machine, auxiliary equipment, tooling as specified on the set-up master.
  • Ensuring processes are running within the tolerances of the set up master
  • Notifying the Shift Supervisor of any processes outside of tolerances specified or nonconforming processes.
  • Documenting all set-up changes outside the tolerances of the set-up master.
  • Verifying color feeders are set to set up master and products produced meet quality standards.
  • Adhering to all relevant Safety Procedures: lock-out/tag-out, equipment inspection, etc.

Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate must have a good basic understanding of the injection moulding process, and have well-developed mechanical/technical abilities. They must be eager to learn and attend training courses, as this is a requirement of the position. The position also requires that the successful candidate be in good physical condition, with the ability to climb into tight places, underneath machines and on top of machines. They will need to be a very quality-conscious team member, and be dedicated to working in a neat, organized and efficient manner.

The successful candidate must be flexible in working hours and shift and be willing to work overtime when necessary; we are currently recruiting for the Night Shift (11:00pm-7:00am).

  • The Mold Tech will be responsible for preparing and staging material in accordance with the production schedule and supervisor direction to meet production requirements without downtime. This requirement includes blending materials using blender as needed.
  • Responsible for raw material delivery to machines using portable white bins, Gaylord’s, bags, or other containers, ensuring no cross contamination takes place by properly confirming all materials before adding them to containers or dryers.
  • Responsible for ensuring dryer temperature settings are set to meet the required temperature for all materials to be used in production.
  • Responsible to complete the cleaning of granulators, hoppers, machines, and areas around machines during setup or troubleshooting activities.
  • Responsible to perform color changes as needed and start the machine for production following the correct guidelines.
  • Responsible for setup of entire production area, making sure all products, or containers in WIP ques, and every station are in FIFO, order, and organized during the setup process.
  • Set-up machines according to production plans by following production procedures and quality procedures, confirming all required packaging and items are present at startup.
  • Attach all auxiliary equipment to molds and machines as required during setup and staging activities to prevent downtime.
  • Start molding machines according to set-up condition sheets and any special instructions.
  • Responsible to complete all start up and end of run documentation per the company TS standard.
  • Responsible to assist with machines during shift startup and shutdown activities.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Organizing all assigned resources to produce products according to the approved quality standard
  • Must be aware at all times of any deviation from the current schedule and take appropriate action to either correct the shortfall, or advise Plant Manager and Scheduler if the required corrective action exceeds their authority or available resources.
  • Ensuring that parts are produced which meets "First-Offs" and is conforming to established quality standards

The Role

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Material Handler is responsible for supporting production with the movement of work station supplies and packaging. This position requires organization, lifting and walking. There is very little forklift driving with this position but forklift certification is required for those times when it is necessary. The Material Handler will also clean and prepare machines to receive bulk material used in production. The Material Handler is a key player in keeping our Logistics Department running, and ensuring we are able to meet production requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Forklift experience is required
  • Material Handling experience
  • Excellent attendance
  • Self-motivation, and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

We are currently hiring for the Afternoon shift (3:00pm-11:00pm). However, candidates must be flexible to work any shift and have the ability to work overtime as required.

The successful candidate will report to the Tool Room supervisor and will perform the following duties:

  • Participate and perform Preventative Maintenance on the injection moulds;
  • Responsible for the accurate completion of any engineering changes, tool improvements and/or repairs as requested on new and existing injection moulds;
  • Responsible for the troubleshooting and repairs to hot runner and valve gate systems in the injection moulds;
  • Involved with the diagnostics and improvements to tooling and the processes;
  • Able to instruct apprentices, as required;
  • Responsible for the thorough inspection of new tooling.
  • Ability to work the night shift

An Ontario License for Mould Maker with additional injection mould work experience is required. Also, 5 years’ experience in a plastic injection manufacturing environment – automotive preferred. The Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Material Handler is a key player in keeping our production floor running, and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment. Cooperation with Machine Operators, Cell Leaders, Supervisors and Set-Up Technicians is essential for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Forklift operation
  • Keeping all production equipment supplied with the correct materials
  • Keeping Machine Operators supplied with components and packaging
  • Maintaining cleanliness on the plant floor
  • Grinding of scrap materials, including emptying and cleaning grinders
  • Transporting finished product to the appropriate staging area
  • Anticipating and preparing for all actions that prevent the occurrence of product, process and quality system non-conformance
