Duties & Responsibilities
  • Participate in all new equipment builds (internal and external)

The Role

Our Kitchener facility is looking for a dynamic Process Engineer, with a strong drive to deliver results in a fast-paced and exciting industry. This position is a key team member of our Corporate Accounting Department in our Kitchener facility. The Accounts Receivable/Payable Associate will report to the Accounts Receivable/Payable Supervisor. Prepare vendor invoices for payment. Match each invoice to receiving in PLEX.

Maintain vendor addresses and banking info.

A/R Responsibilities:

Post incoming receivables.

Qualification Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The Mold Tech will be responsible for preparing and staging material in accordance with the production schedule and supervisor direction to meet production requirements without downtime. This requirement includes blending materials using blender as needed.
  • Responsible for raw material delivery to machines using portable white bins, Gaylord’s, bags, or other containers, ensuring no cross contamination takes place by properly confirming all materials before adding them to containers or dryers.
  • Responsible for ensuring dryer temperature settings are set to meet the required temperature for all materials to be used in production.
  • Responsible to complete the cleaning of granulators, hoppers, machines, and areas around machines during setup or troubleshooting activities.
  • Responsible to perform color changes as needed and start the machine for production following the correct guidelines.
  • Responsible for setup of entire production area, making sure all products, or containers in WIP ques, and every station are in FIFO, order, and organized during the setup process.
  • Set-up machines according to production plans by following production procedures and quality procedures, confirming all required packaging and items are present at startup.
  • Attach all auxiliary equipment to molds and machines as required during setup and staging activities to prevent downtime.
  • Start molding machines according to set-up condition sheets and any special instructions.
  • Responsible to complete all start up and end of run documentation per the company TS standard.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • 1. Evaluate efficiencies by comparing process standards such as labor hours, machine cycle time to actual production values and report proposed improvement recommendations with timing to Process Engineering Manager.
  • 2. Initiate continuous improvement activities for cycle time reduction, direct labor reduction, alternative materials and scrap reduction for products assigned.
  • 3. Analyze SPC, FMEA’s, DOE, and process parameters and co-ordinate the necessary improvements to achieve capable processes.

  • 13. Assist with in-house training programs for assembly personnel to learn new production parts and processes.

  • 19. Responsible for keeping plant personnel informed of quality, process and general product related issues for products assigned through plant information boards.
  • 20. Ensure that all processing methods and equipment meet all health and safety requirements. Identify all resins, paints, and raw material to human resources for safety data sheets.

Minimum Requirements

The Role

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Material Handler is responsible for supporting production with the movement of work station supplies and packaging. This position requires organization, lifting and walking. There is very little forklift driving with this position but forklift certification is required for those times when it is necessary. The Material Handler will also clean and prepare machines to receive bulk material used in production. The Material Handler is a key player in keeping our Logistics Department running, and ensuring we are able to meet production requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment.
