The Role

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor all Material Planning, Purchasing and Customer Service activities

The Role

Our Mitchell Plastics Kitchener facility is looking for Material Handlers. The Material Handler is a key player in keeping our production floor running and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment. Cooperation with Machine Operators, Cell Leaders, Supervisors and Set-Up Technicians is essential for this position. Forklift experience is required.

We are currently hiring for the Afternoon (3:00pm-11:00pm) and Night (11:00pm-7:00am) shifts. However, candidates must be flexible to work any/all shifts, and overtime as required.

The Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Shipper is a key player in keeping our Logistics Department running, and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment.

1. Ensure the safe operation of lift trucks in the shipping/receiving area.

2. Pick product for shipments in FIFO order.

3. Ensure that staged shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements.

Description of Position

The Assembly Operator will support our production activities performing manual assembly duties in coordination with industrial assembly fixtures and molding machines. This position is accountable for the quality of the products produced in the work station and for reading and understanding the operator instructions at the work station.

Minimum Requirements

  • 1 yr in automotive/manufacturing
