The Machine Operator will support our production activities performing manual assembly duties in coordination with industrial assembly fixtures and molding machines. Individuals must have high school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in an automotive/manufacturing environment required. The Role

We currently have an opening for an Accounts Payable Associate, based out of our Charlestown location, reporting to the Accounting Supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Process invoices received from suppliers and expense reports received form associates.
  • Match supplier invoices with receiving reports and purchase requests/purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process invoices in computer system.
  • Must be able to process large volumes of paperwork and resolve issues.
  • Monitor account codes for reasonableness.

The Mold Setter reports to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for starting and setting up of all production jobs to produce quality parts for our customers. Responsible for preparing & staging material in accordance with the production schedule and supervisor direction to meet production requirements without downtime. This requirement includes blending materials using blender as needed.

  • Responsible for raw material delivery to machines using portable white bins, Gaylord’s, bags, or other containers, ensuring no cross contamination takes place by properly confirming all materials before adding them to containers or dryers.
  • Responsible for ensuring dryer temperature settings are set to meet the required temperature for all materials to be used in production.
  • Responsible to complete the cleaning of granulators, hoppers, machines and areas around machines during setup or troubleshooting activities.
  • Responsible to perform color changes as needed and start the machine for production following the correct guidelines.
  • Responsible for setup of entire production area, making sure all products, or containers in WIP Ques, and every station are in FIFO, order, and organized during the setup process.
  • Set-up machines according to production plans by following production procedures and quality procedures, confirming all required packaging & items are present at startup.
  • Attach all auxiliary equipment to molds and machines as required during setup & staging activities to prevent downtime.
  • Start molding machines according to set-up condition sheets and any special instructions.
  • Responsible to complete all start up and end of run documentation per the company TS standard.

Job Requirements - Level II

  • Must be capable of performing all job requirements lived in Level 1 as needed.
  • Responsible to maintain existing production processed by confirming all conditions on active presses daily. * Verify daily by audit sheet requirements. * Confirm part quality by required visual checks. * Confirm Sprue pickers/robots are working properly and not carrying parts. * Verify parts are transferring correctly to packaging station and not in machine panels. * Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
  • Issue and complete MSS sheets, after analyzing issues to determine tooling as cause and to confirm repair after completed. This process must be adhered to as indicated in work instructions.
  • Assist in troubleshooting part quality issues and determines root cause for defects. Improves part quality and performance by implementing countermeasures abased on investigation results. Ensures that all changes are confirmed and approved be required staff prior to production.
  • Responsible to report set up errors to the Production Supervisor to allow proper containment and corrective activities.
  • Assist with improvement projects as needed such as continuous improvement activities, corrective action activities, and implementing Kaizen.
  • Analyzes and completes all appropriate paperwork for tool damage per company TS standard.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and repairing day to day molding/extruder problems such as cleaning molds/dies, replacing SSD and load cell cables, repairing machine chutes, installing mold curtains, etc.
  • Assist in robot settings in regard to times and positions. Notifies maintenance in the event that a speed control required adjusting.
  • Perform diagnostic checks of machinery as needed to ensure equipment is capable of process requirements. Notifies mainenance if repairs are needed.

The Role

We currently have an opening for a Buyer/Planner, based out of our Charlestown location, reporting to the Materials Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The procurement of all raw material and components from assigned suppliers on behalf of the company.
  • The procurement of assigned MRO items.
  • Process Spot Buy, Purchase orders, as per the purchase requisition procedure.

The Role
Our Sterling Heights plant is looking for a Material Handler. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping all production equipment supplied with materials. Some of the day to day responsibilities and duties include cleanliness of the plant floor, empty and clean grinders, transport finished product to the appropriate staging area, anticipate and prepare for all actions that prevent the occurrence of product, process and quality system non-conformance. Organizational skills as well as cooperation with machine operators are necessary for this position. Must be able to work overtime as required and must have excellent attendance.

As a key team member at our plant, the Process Technician responsibilities include: Mold changes on injection molding machines ranging from 80 to 1100 tons; Process Starts to parameters of master set up sheet; Approval via first piece qualification for production product. This individual should have experience with decoupled processing, overhead cranes, valve gate systems, hot runner controllers, central material systems and fork lifts.

Individual must have 3 to 5 years of experience. Experience with Nissei molding machines and Yushin robots is a plus but not required. Must follow all safety procedures, uphold company policies and support shop cleaning duties.

The Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Shipper is a key player in keeping our Logistics Department running, and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment.

1. Ensure the safe operation of lift trucks in the shipping/receiving area.

2. Pick product for shipments in FIFO order.

3. Ensure that staged shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements.

4. Ensure that loaded shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements.

5. Ensure that all Finished Goods are handled, moved and, stored in such a way as to prevent product damage or deterioration.

6. Ensure that all shortages noted while staging shipments are communicated to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

7. Ensure that all shipping discrepancies are communicated to the Shipping Co-ordinator/Shipping Supervisor, so that the packing slip, and ASN’s are accurate.

8. Perform other related duties as instructed by management.

The successful candidate will report to the Tool Room supervisor and will perform the following duties:

  • Participate and perform Preventative Maintenance on the injection moulds;
  • Responsible for the accurate completion of any engineering changes, tool improvements and/or repairs as requested on new and existing injection moulds;
  • Responsible for the troubleshooting and repairs to hot runner and valve gate systems in the injection moulds;
  • Involved with the diagnostics and improvements to tooling and the processes;
  • Able to instruct apprentices, as required;
  • Responsible for the thorough inspection of new tooling.
  • Ability to work the night shift

An Ontario License for Mould Maker with additional injection mould work experience is required. Also, 5 years’ experience in a plastic injection manufacturing environment – automotive preferred. The Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Material Handler is a key player in keeping our production floor running, and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment. Cooperation with Machine Operators, Cell Leaders, Supervisors and Set-Up Technicians is essential for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Forklift operation
  • Keeping all production equipment supplied with the correct materials
  • Keeping Machine Operators supplied with components and packaging
  • Maintaining cleanliness on the plant floor
  • Grinding of scrap materials, including emptying and cleaning grinders
  • Transporting finished product to the appropriate staging area
  • Anticipating and preparing for all actions that prevent the occurrence of product, process and quality system non-conformance

Minimum Requirements

  • Forklift experience is required
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attendance
