Duties & Responsibilities
  • Examine manufactured parts and products to ensure the parts meet all standards of presentation and quality
  • Study and learn product specifications and work instructions
  • Perform visual inspections along with mechanical and functional verification of parts to ensure compliance to set specification and quality standards

  • Prior to a program change, specific duties and responsibilities should be communicated to each member of the cell team to ensure the smooth transition of programs occurs.

The Role

As a key team member at our corporate head office in Kitchener, the Corporate Tax, Regulatory, and Special Projects Manager will report to Chief Financial Officer and work closely with our Senior Management Team, government agencies and external accounting firm. Occasional travel to the regions of our manufacturing operations may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of Income Taxes, Sales and Value-added taxes, Withholding Taxes, and Tax Credits, for all of the Company’s legal entities in Canada, U.S.A. and Mexico
  • Prepare draft tax returns for the Canadian entities, and submit for review to company’s external tax professionals
  • Review draft US and Mexican tax returns prepared by external tax professionals. Over time, become knowledgeable enough to prepare the draft tax returns in the US (Federal and State) and Mexico
  • Deal with all enquiries and requests by tax authorities as they arise
  • Be the primary contact with the tax authorities in cases of audits by such authorities
  • Prepare draft SR&ED tax credit claim in Canada and submit for review to external tax professionals. (If initial experience in this area is limited, in the first year, participate alongside the external professionals in preparation of the claim.)
  • Participate with external professionals in the USA in the preparation of investment tax credit claims. Eventually, become the primary preparer

The Role

As a key team member in our Kitchener manufacturing facility, the Maintenance Automation Technician will report to the Process Engineering Manager. We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious individual with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. The Role

Our Mitchell Plastics Kitchener location currently has an opening for a Quality Engineer within our Quality Department, reporting to the Quality Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer satisfaction for quality-related items.
  • Participate in the APQP process to ensure feasibility of the design and process to produce the product as specified.
  • Address any quality issues, including GD&T, gauge design, testing requirements and timing, capability study requirements and timing, applied statistical methods, and Advanced Quality Plans (such as prototype, pre-launch, and production control plans, etc.).
  • Recommend designation of KPC’s, KCC’s
  • Support and participate in APQP activities and trials (such as packaging trials, paint/process trials, etc.) as required.

  • Review customer, internal, and supplier rejections. Follow up on corrective and preventive actions and recommend course of action.

  • The Mold Tech will be responsible for preparing and staging material in accordance with the production schedule and supervisor direction to meet production requirements without downtime. This requirement includes blending materials using blender as needed.

The Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Material Handler is a key player in keeping our production floor running, and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment. Cooperation with Machine Operators, Cell Leaders, Supervisors and Set-Up Technicians is essential for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Forklift operation
  • Keeping all production equipment supplied with the correct materials
  • Keeping Machine Operators supplied with components and packaging
  • Maintaining cleanliness on the plant floor
  • Grinding of scrap materials, including emptying and cleaning grinders
  • Transporting finished product to the appropriate staging area
  • Anticipating and preparing for all actions that prevent the occurrence of product, process and quality system non-conformance

Minimum Requirements

  • Forklift experience is required
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attendance
