Obligaciones y responsabilidades
  • Examine manufactured parts and products to ensure the parts meet all standards of presentation and quality
  • Study and learn product specifications and work instructions
  • Perform visual inspections along with mechanical and functional verification of parts to ensure compliance to set specification and quality standards

  • Communicate sort/inspection results to managers, supervisors, and production personnel

  • Ensure that all documentation required is accurate and complete including Lot Numbers and Viscosity when mixing paint.

  • Monitor paint inventory levels and advisee Supervisor of low quantities.
  • Ensure that disposition of all items and product within the cell is addressed. Example, materials on hold and scrap, parts, etc.
  • Continually verify that all items in the cell are required for the current running program. Remove all other materials from previous jobs and return them to their proper storage locations.
  • Prior to a program change, specific duties and responsibilities should be communicated to each member of the cell team to ensure the smooth transition of programs occurs.

The Role

As a key team member at our corporate head office in Kitchener, the Corporate Tax, Regulatory, and Special Projects Manager will report to Chief Financial Officer and work closely with our Senior Management Team, government agencies and external accounting firm. Occasional travel to the regions of our manufacturing operations may be required.

  • Oversee all aspects of Income Taxes, Sales and Value-added taxes, Withholding Taxes, and Tax Credits, for all of the Company’s legal entities in Canada, U.S.A. and Mexico
  • Prepare draft tax returns for the Canadian entities, and submit for review to company’s external tax professionals
  • Review draft US and Mexican tax returns prepared by external tax professionals. Over time, become knowledgeable enough to prepare the draft tax returns in the US (Federal and State) and Mexico
  • Deal with all enquiries and requests by tax authorities as they arise
  • Be the primary contact with the tax authorities in cases of audits by such authorities
  • Prepare draft SR&ED tax credit claim in Canada and submit for review to external tax professionals. (If initial experience in this area is limited, in the first year, participate alongside the external professionals in preparation of the claim.)
  • Participate with external professionals in the USA in the preparation of investment tax credit claims. Eventually, become the primary preparer
  • Be aware of tax changes that may affect the Company and provide updates to management on implications
  • Look for tax saving opportunities and present to management for consideration
  • Oversee transfer pricing in the Company’s trans-border related party transactions. Maintain internal documentation of transfer pricing policies

The Role

As a key team member in our Kitchener manufacturing facility, the Maintenance Automation Technician will report to the Process Engineering Manager. We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious individual with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. The Role

Our Mitchell Plastics Kitchener location currently has an opening for a Quality Engineer within our Quality Department, reporting to the Quality Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer satisfaction for quality-related items.
  • Participate in the APQP process to ensure feasibility of the design and process to produce the product as specified.
  • Address any quality issues, including GD&T, gauge design, testing requirements and timing, capability study requirements and timing, applied statistical methods, and Advanced Quality Plans (such as prototype, pre-launch, and production control plans, etc.).
  • Recommend designation of KPC’s, KCC’s
  • Support and participate in APQP activities and trials (such as packaging trials, paint/process trials, etc.) as required.

  • Review customer, internal, and supplier rejections. Follow up on corrective and preventive actions and recommend course of action.

  • Review ECN’s / PCN’s for quality issues.

The HR Generalist responsibilities and duties include the following: Contribute in maintaining a positive employee relations environment where employees feel that they are treated with fairness, dignity and respect and are comfortable discussing their ideas and concerns. The Role

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Shipper is responsible for the accurate staging of shipments as per customer requirements, preparing shipping documentation, loading and unloading trucks, etc. This position requires picking orders, use of a scan gun, assistance in keeping the finished goods area organized and clean, and forklift driving in a fast-paced environment. The Machine Operator will support our production activities performing manual assembly duties in coordination with industrial assembly fixtures and molding machines. This position is accountable for the quality of the products produced in the work station and for reading and understanding the operator instructions at the work station. Individuals must have high school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in an automotive/manufacturing environment required. Motivated candidates must be team players with excellent mechanical abilities.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing “Best in Class” team. Our opening for a Mold Setter will be based out of our Sterling Heights plant, and will report to the Molding Supervisor.

The Mold Setter reports to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for starting and setting up of all production jobs to produce quality parts for our customers. Set-up and start-up of molding machine, auxiliary equipment, tooling as specified on the set-up master. Ensure processes are running within the tolerances of the set-up master. Document all set-up changes outside the tolerances of the set-up master as per WI-4.9.5-C. Verify products produced meet quality standards as outlined in the operator instructions and hand in first off to Cell Leader. Notify Shift Supervisor of processes outside of tolerances specified or nonconforming processes.

This position requires one year experience as an injection molding set-up technician, basic math, English reading and writing and the understanding of key quality and environmental management systems procedures related to this job function.

As a key team member, the Production Manager will report to the General Manager out of the Huntsville, Alabama location. This key position is responsible for overseeing and improving the production methods of our Injection Molding processes to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.

The Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Shipper is a key player in keeping our Logistics Department running, and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment.

1. Ensure the safe operation of lift trucks in the shipping/receiving area.

2. Pick product for shipments in FIFO order.

3. Ensure that staged shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements.

4. Ensure that loaded shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements.

5. Ensure that all Finished Goods are handled, moved and, stored in such a way as to prevent product damage or deterioration.

6. Ensure that all shortages noted while staging shipments are communicated to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

7. Ensure that all shipping discrepancies are communicated to the Shipping Co-ordinator/Shipping Supervisor, so that the packing slip, and ASN’s are accurate.

The Role

This position requires organization, lifting and walking. There is very little forklift driving with this position but forklift certification is required for those times when it is necessary. The Role

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipper is responsible for the accurate staging of shipments as per customer requirements, preparing shipping documentation, loading and unloading trucks, etc. This position requires picking orders, use of a scan gun, assistance in keeping the finished goods area organized and clean, and forklift driving in a fast-paced environment. The Shipper will prepare and palletize shipments according to customer requirements, maintain and prepare customer supplied packaging, and track the receipt of customer packaging and the use of expendables to meet customer demands. Our Huntsville, Alabama location is currently looking to fill the position of Paint Tech/Robot Programmer. The successful candidate should have experience in automotive or industrial spray painting of solvent and/or waterbased paint systems. You are capable of doing viscosity checks, air balance review, sludge system maintenance and filter changes. Some duties will include rack maintenance, pressure pot maintenance, hand gun rebuilds, Pmix function and teardown as well as assisting with paint trials. A minimum of 3 years of experience working directly on a paint line is essential. Basic Robotic experience is extremely necessary. 1.)Program robots - Fanuc, and Motoman preferred 2). Troubleshoot Paint application - Pmix/Promix issues (including re-build and maintenance of paint systems) 3). Troubleshoot and re-build paint guns 4). Maintain inventory of required spare components 5). Participate in Preventive Maintenance activities.

The successful candidate will report to the Tool Room supervisor and will perform the following duties:

  • Participate and perform Preventative Maintenance on the injection moulds;
  • Responsible for the accurate completion of any engineering changes, tool improvements and/or repairs as requested on new and existing injection moulds;
  • Responsible for the troubleshooting and repairs to hot runner and valve gate systems in the injection moulds;
  • Involved with the diagnostics and improvements to tooling and the processes;
  • Able to instruct apprentices, as required;
  • Responsible for the thorough inspection of new tooling.
  • Ability to work the night shift

An Ontario License for Mould Maker with additional injection mould work experience is required. Also, 5 years’ experience in a plastic injection manufacturing environment – automotive preferred. Individuals must have high school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in an automotive/manufacturing environment is preferred. The Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Material Handler is a key player in keeping our production floor running, and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment. Cooperation with Machine Operators, Cell Leaders, Supervisors and Set-Up Technicians is essential for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Forklift operation
  • Keeping all production equipment supplied with the correct materials
  • Keeping Machine Operators supplied with components and packaging
  • Maintaining cleanliness on the plant floor
  • Grinding of scrap materials, including emptying and cleaning grinders
  • Transporting finished product to the appropriate staging area
  • Anticipating and preparing for all actions that prevent the occurrence of product, process and quality system non-conformance

Minimum Requirements

  • Forklift experience is required
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attendance
