Obligaciones y responsabilidades
  • The Mold Tech will be responsible for preparing and staging material in accordance with the production schedule and supervisor direction to meet production requirements without downtime. This requirement includes blending materials using blender as needed.
  • Responsible for raw material delivery to machines using portable white bins, Gaylord’s, bags, or other containers, ensuring no cross contamination takes place by properly confirming all materials before adding them to containers or dryers.
  • Responsible for ensuring dryer temperature settings are set to meet the required temperature for all materials to be used in production.
  • Responsible to complete the cleaning of granulators, hoppers, machines, and areas around machines during setup or troubleshooting activities.
  • Responsible to perform color changes as needed and start the machine for production following the correct guidelines.
  • Responsible for setup of entire production area, making sure all products, or containers in WIP ques, and every station are in FIFO, order, and organized during the setup process.
  • Set-up machines according to production plans by following production procedures and quality procedures, confirming all required packaging and items are present at startup.
  • Attach all auxiliary equipment to molds and machines as required during setup and staging activities to prevent downtime.
  • Start molding machines according to set-up condition sheets and any special instructions.
  • Responsible to complete all start up and end of run documentation per the company TS standard.
  • Responsible to assist with machines during shift startup and shutdown activities.
  • Ensure quality parts every start-up by reviewing the product and confirming with quality control department as needed.
  • Must be able to learn and operate overhead crane, forklift, and use set-up tools while following all safety requirements.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and solve any set-up problems that are encountered.
  • Minor duties to include: operate machines, secondary production (assembly), as directed by the shift supervisor.
  • Must participate in career path development up through Level II.

Obligaciones y responsabilidades
  • Organizing all assigned resources to produce products according to the approved quality standard
  • Must be aware at all times of any deviation from the current schedule and take appropriate action to either correct the shortfall, or advise Plant Manager and Scheduler if the required corrective action exceeds their authority or available resources.

  • Ensures that the shift production form is filled out correctly.
  • Provide the leadership needed on the shop floor to ensure high productivity, morale, and safety
  • A consistently high standard of housekeeping must be maintained at all times.
  • The Supervisor is a key player in helping to effect the necessary changes on the shop floor on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure that only trained individuals are assigned to work cell or other plant duties.
  • The Supervisor will work closely with the Plant Manager or Production Manager and Human Resources Manager to ensure that appropriate skills are being hired, appropriate training being conducted, and proper disciplinary actions taken to control absenteeism and unacceptable conduct.
  • Is expected that all required procedures for Quality Assurance, Inventory Control and Production Control will be rigorously enforced.
  • Ensure that all preventive maintenance is carried out on tools and equipment.

The Role

We currently have a 6-month Contract opening for a Customer Service Representative within the Logistics Department, reporting to the Materials Manager. The Role

Reporting to the Human Resources, Wellness, Health and Safety Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the coordination of Human Resource related activities including;

The Role

Our Mitchell Plastics Kitchener facility is looking for Material Handlers. The Material Handler is a key player in keeping our production floor running and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment. You will provide leadership in special projects as well as investigate and resolve both part and manufacturing related problems. In this role you will act as the technical contact for equipment vendors and implement error proofing methods to prevent the manufacture of defects.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a Diploma or Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably in plastics and/or automotive. Having a strong mechanical background is important. You must possess a strong drive to deliver results in a fast paced and exciting industry. Obligaciones y responsabilidades
  • 1. Evaluate efficiencies by comparing process standards such as labor hours, machine cycle time to actual production values and report proposed improvement recommendations with timing to Process Engineering Manager.
  • 2. Initiate continuous improvement activities for cycle time reduction, direct labor reduction, alternative materials and scrap reduction for products assigned.
  • 3. Analyze SPC, FMEA’s, DOE, and process parameters and co-ordinate the necessary improvements to achieve capable processes.
  • 4. Improve the quality of the product by developing and implementing error-proofing methods to prevent the manufacture of defects.
  • 5. Notify the General Manager/Process Engineering Manager of incapable processes/products.
  • 6. Co-ordinate the implementation of new production equipment until PSO. Initiate the production part approval process as per the APQP requirements.
  • 7. Prepare capital justifications for new production equipment, and on-going improvements.
  • 8. Investigate and implement production method changes to improve productivity on a continuing basis.
  • 9. Act as technical contact for vendors.
  • 10. Prepare weekly updates for process capability/performance.
  • 11. Actively participate in advanced product quality planning with regards to manufacturing processes i.e. workcell layout, KCC/KPC selection, preventable maintenance schedules.
  • 12. Initiate 8D problem solving for control/capability non-conformances. Lead the team in mistake proofing of potential process concerns. Ensure customer notification/authorization, and documentation of all process changes. Initiate Engineering change request for all proposed process changes. File all process related documentation.
  • 13. Assist with in-house training programs for assembly personnel to learn new production parts and processes.
  • 14. Develop plans/schedules for preventative and predictive maintenance of process equipment.
  • 15. Ensure the implementation of new production processes and follow up until process capability is achieved.
  • 16. Maintain and update operator instructions, process specifications, process flow charts , process control plans, machine set-up instructions , and process FMEA’s. Develop and review work procedures for all process related functions, i.e. operators, set-up, material handling, and maintenance.
  • 17. Arrange with the involvement of Project Engineering sourcing of replacement production tooling, testing equipment, check fixtures and prototypes when required, and follow-up with same.
  • 18. Participate in DFA/DFM reviews.
  • 19. Responsible for keeping plant personnel informed of quality, process and general product related issues for products assigned through plant information boards.
  • 20. Ensure that all processing methods and equipment meet all health and safety requirements. Identify all resins, paints, and raw material to human resources for safety data sheets.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager the Human Resources Manager is responsible to provide Human Resources leadership and strategic direction at the plant level. The Role

We currently have an opening for a Customer Service Representative at our Charlestown, IN location.

Obligaciones y responsabilidades
  • Assure consistent, timely, and accurate entry of customer's orders and release changes through to shipment of finished goods
  • Be pro-active in informing customer if any discrepancies noticed in their orders or releases

The Mold Setter reports to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for starting and setting up of all production jobs to produce quality parts for our customers. Verify products produced meet quality standards as outlined in the operator instructions and hand in first off to Cell Leader. Notify Shift Supervisor of processes outside of tolerances specified or nonconforming processes.

This position requires one year experience as an injection molding set-up technician, basic math, English reading and writing and the understanding of key quality and environmental management systems procedures related to this job function.

The Role

We currently have an opening for a Buyer/Planner, based out of our Charlestown location, reporting to the Materials Manager.

Obligaciones y responsabilidades
  • The procurement of all raw material and components from assigned suppliers on behalf of the company.

The Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Shipper is a key player in keeping our Logistics Department running, and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment.

1. Ensure the safe operation of lift trucks in the shipping/receiving area.

2. Pick product for shipments in FIFO order.

3. Ensure that staged shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements.

4. Ensure that loaded shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements.

5. Ensure that all Finished Goods are handled, moved and, stored in such a way as to prevent product damage or deterioration.

The Role
