The Role

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Shipperis responsible for the accurate staging of shipments as per customer requirements, preparing shipping documentation, loading and unloading trucks, etc. This position requires picking orders, use of a scan gun, assistance in keeping the finished goods area organized and clean, and forklift driving in a fast-paced environment. The Shipper will prepare and palletize shipments according to customer requirements, maintain and prepare customer supplied packaging, and track the receipt of customer packaging and the use of expendables to meet customer demands. The Shipper is a key player in keeping our Logistics Department running, and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Forklift experience is required

  • Self-motivation, and the ability to work independently

The Role
We currently have an opening for an Assistant Materials Manager, based out of our Charlestown location, reporting to the Materials Manager.

Obligaciones y responsabilidades
  • The Shift Supervisor reports to the Plant Manager or Production Manager. The position is responsible for organizing all assigned resources to produce products according to the current schedule, and according to the approved quality standard.
  • The Supervisor must be aware at all times of any deviation from the current schedule, and will take appropriate action to either correct the shortfall, or advise the Plant Manager and Scheduler if the required corrective action exceeds their authority or available resources.
  • The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that parts are produced which meet the approved “First-off’s” and is conforming to established quality standards. Verify all processes are stable and within tolerances outlined in the QIR
  • On the off shifts, personnel are responsible to the Shift Supervisor, and the Supervisor will assign, organize and direct all resources to whatever activity is required in the pursuit of the above over-riding priorities. Ensures that the shift production report form is filled out correctly.
  • The Supervisor will provide the leadership needed on the shop floor to ensure high productivity, morale and safety. In particular, a consistently high standard of housekeeping must be maintained at all times. The Supervisor is a key player in helping to effect the necessary changes on the shop floor on an ongoing basis. Ensure that only trained individuals are assigned to work cell or other plant duties.
  • The Supervisor will work closely with the Plant Manager or Production Manager and Human Resource Manager to ensure that appropriate skills are being hired, appropriate training being conducted, and proper disciplinary actions taken to control absenteeism and unacceptable conduct.
  • Ensure that all preventive maintenance is carried out on tools and equipment

Our Huntsville, Alabama location is currently looking to fill the position of Paint Tech/Robot Programmer. The successful candidate should have experience in automotive or industrial spray painting of solvent and/or waterbased paint systems. You are capable of doing viscosity checks, air balance review, sludge system maintenance and filter changes. Some duties will include rack maintenance, pressure pot maintenance, hand gun rebuilds, Pmix function and teardown as well as assisting with paint trials. A minimum of 3 years of experience working directly on a paint line is essential. Basic Robotic experience is extremely necessary. 1.)Program robots - Fanuc, and Motoman preferred 2). Troubleshoot Paint application - Pmix/Promix issues (including re-build and maintenance of paint systems) 3). Troubleshoot and re-build paint guns 4). Maintain inventory of required spare components 5). Participate in Preventive Maintenance activities.

The Role

A Millwright is required to assist the Production Maintenance Supervisor in job, project, and shop organization. Also to assist with training, development, and support of the maintenance team members.

  • Participate and perform Preventative Maintenance on the injection moulds;
  • Responsible for the accurate completion of any engineering changes, tool improvements and/or repairs as requested on new and existing injection moulds;
  • Responsible for the troubleshooting and repairs to hot runner and valve gate systems in the injection moulds;
  • Involved with the diagnostics and improvements to tooling and the processes;
  • Able to instruct apprentices, as required;
  • Responsible for the thorough inspection of new tooling.
  • Ability to work the night shift

An Ontario License for Mould Maker with additional injection mould work experience is required. Also, 5 years’ experience in a plastic injection manufacturing environment – automotive preferred. Duties & Responsibilities- Support production on each shift to meet safety, quality, performance & other company goals as needed. Team members in this role complete material changes, mold changes, process auditing, & problem solving for all molding operations.

QUALIFICATIONS – Level 1

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must have adequate test scores on: Math, Graphic, Thurstone, Mechanical, and MacBeth Color tests.
  • Minimum of 1 year molding experience preferred.
  • Prior experience preferred.
  • Must be capable to use forklift, tugger, or pallet jack as needed.
  • Level 2 Molding Operator completion preferred.
  • Must be able to perform scanning activities.
  • Required Skills-Level I

Responsible for preparing & staging material in accordance with the production schedule and supervisor direction to meet production requirements without downtime. This requirement includes blending materials using blender as needed.

  • Responsible for raw material delivery to machines using portable white bins, Gaylord’s, bags, or other containers, ensuring no cross contamination takes place by properly confirming all materials before adding them to containers or dryers.
  • Responsible for ensuring dryer temperature settings are set to meet the required temperature for all materials to be used in production.
  • Responsible to complete the cleaning of granulators, hoppers, machines and areas around machines during setup or troubleshooting activities.
  • Responsible to perform color changes as needed and start the machine for production following the correct guidelines.
  • Responsible for setup of entire production area, making sure all products, or containers in WIP Ques, and every station are in FIFO, order, and organized during the setup process.
  • Set-up machines according to production plans by following production procedures and quality procedures, confirming all required packaging & items are present at startup.
  • Attach all auxiliary equipment to molds and machines as required during setup & staging activities to prevent downtime.
  • Start molding machines according to set-up condition sheets and any special instructions.
  • Responsible to complete all start up and end of run documentation per the company TS standard.
  • Responsible to assist with machines during shift startup and shutdown activities.
  • Ensure quality parts every start-up by reviewing the product & confirming with quality control department as needed.
  • Must be able to learn and operate overhead crane, forklift, and use set-up tools while following all safety requirements.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and solve any set-up problems that are encountered.
  • Minor duties to include: operate machines, secondary production (assembly), as directed by the shift supervisor.
  • Must participate in career path development up through Level II.

The Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Material Handler is a key player in keeping our production floor running, and ensuring we are able to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, “just-in-time” environment. Cooperation with Machine Operators, Cell Leaders, Supervisors and Set-Up Technicians is essential for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Forklift operation
  • Keeping all production equipment supplied with the correct materials
  • Keeping Machine Operators supplied with components and packaging
  • Maintaining cleanliness on the plant floor
  • Grinding of scrap materials, including emptying and cleaning grinders
